The project called for AST GrandOak Chevron Natural Oak flooring through the bedrooms and connecting hallways of a Bulleen residence. The chevron pattern needed to continue clearly between rooms while coordinating with pale timber joinery and white interior finishes.
The 900 mm chevron set-out required a consistent centre line along the long, narrow hallway and balanced positioning through multiple doorways. Detailed cuts were also needed around built-in wardrobes, glass-block windows and tiled wet-area thresholds.
Alpine Woods Flooring installed 900 × 150 × 14.5 mm Natural Oak engineered European oak chevron boards with a 3 mm veneer. The flooring was direct-stuck through the bedrooms, hallway and landing, with the pattern aligned across doorways and adjoining spaces.
The completed chevron floor creates a continuous natural oak surface through the private rooms and circulation areas. Its warm tone, visible oak grain and large-format geometry complement the light joinery, black hardware and white walls throughout the residence.
