The challenge
The herringbone setout needed to remain aligned through the long entrance hall and adjoining openings. Perimeter cuts and pattern transitions also required careful resolution around doorways, skirting and the projecting stone fireplace.
The work
Alpine Woods Flooring installed Ash Grey engineered oak blocks in a herringbone pattern through the living areas, hallway and entry. The layout was continued around connected openings and accurately cut to the fireplace and room perimeters.
The outcome
The completed herringbone floor creates a consistent geometric line through the Camberwell residence. Its Ash Grey tone and natural timber variation contrast with the light walls, soft furnishings and pale stone fireplace finishes.
