The challenge
The straight-plank installation needed clean board direction and transitions through open living areas, curved internal walls, narrow hallways, room junctions and a small level change. The work sequence also needed to allow for sanding and polishing after installation.
The work
Alpine Woods Flooring supplied and installed standard-grade solid Blackbutt timber flooring in a straight-plank layout. After installation, the timber floor was sanded and polished on site to complete the finished surface.
The outcome
The completed floor carries the natural colour and grain variation of Blackbutt through the living rooms, hallway and curved bay-window area. Sanding and polishing produced a consistent finished surface across the connected spaces.
