Select the flooring and confirm dimensions
Visit our Burwood East showroom to compare flooring in person. Provide architectural plans for review, or arrange a site measure when confirmed dimensions are needed.

Prepare the site
For detached new homes, we inspect the substrate before installation and determine whether levelling work is required. The scope is confirmed from actual site conditions.

Install the floor
Timber flooring is installed using a full-spread adhesive system. We use a 6 mm notched trowel and ENF-rated flooring adhesive, subject to the selected product and substrate specification.

Protect and hand over
Floor protection can be added when other trades still need access. On some volume-builder homes, flooring is installed near the end of the build and separate protection may not be necessary.

Detached new homes
Preparation is part of the floor.
Subfloor and levelling
We inspect the floor before installation. Where the substrate is outside the required tolerance, self-levelling is included in the recommended preparation scope.
Skirting and finishing
The scope may include skirting removal and installation, or installation only. Painting follows installation, then caulking completes the junctions. Responsibilities are confirmed before scheduling.
Full-spread glue installation.
We apply flooring adhesive across the prepared substrate using a 6 mm notched trowel. The ENF-rated adhesive and application method are checked against the selected flooring system.
A full-spread system supports consistent contact between the flooring and substrate. Site conditions and product requirements remain the final guide for preparation and installation.
Common questions before installation.
Do you need plans before providing advice?
Plans are helpful for understanding room sizes, floor direction, transitions and project sequencing. If plans are unavailable or dimensions need confirmation, a site measure can be arranged.
Is self-levelling always required in a new home?
No. The substrate is inspected first. Levelling requirements depend on the actual floor condition and the tolerance required by the selected flooring system.
What happens with skirting boards?
The agreed scope may include skirting removal and reinstallation, or installation only. Painting and caulking follow the skirting installation, with trade responsibilities confirmed before work begins.
Does every completed floor need protection?
Not always. Protection is recommended when other trades will continue working through the area. It may be unnecessary when flooring is installed at the final stage of a well-sequenced build.
